American Academy of Advertising
American Academy of Advertising’s current brand is very outdated and needed a lot of work. The goal of this project was to reach a younger audience and engage students. By changing their logo to an abstract look, it makes the brand feel more modern. The color pallet I wanted to use was bright and exciting to make the brand seem new fun.
Every year, the AAA gathers for two meetings, inviting advertising teachers in business and journalism schools. Their main goal is to advance advertising education and emphasize the value of professional education for advertising. I wanted to create a suite that can be used at the 2018 Annual Conference. It will include print ads, posters, and swag that you can collect at the event.
The new look of American Academy of Advertising will be easy to remember and will also be something that all generations can connect and relate to.
American Academy of Advertising’s current advertising is very dull and bland. To help them create something that people will remember, I wanted to include as many colors in my color pallet. Also, I wanted to include photos that tell a story, unlike the photos that are seen on their website.
These are a few print ads that I made to showcase an Annual Conference coming up. I included bright colors and duotone photos. The colors and the duotone photography make the brand stand and give modern twist.
I imagine that the first ad would be the cover of a pamphlet that is handed out at the conference. The second ad would be found either in the pamphlet, posted via social media, and or printed and hung around schools.
American Academy of Advertising’s website lacks advertising for their Annual conference. Through these mockups, I displayed how these advertisements can be utilized and used throughout different products.
The mockups I made show the pamphlet you will receive at the conference, a swag bag, and also a print ad poster size advertising the Annual Conference. It shows how versatile the logo can be, and also how to use the duotone photography in an advertisement.
These mockups are great because they demonstrate a realistic look to how AAA can use their new identity through their advertising at the 2018 Annual Conference.
